"I have...I Need" was the brainchild of two Melbourne women who started painting temporary fencing with blackboard paint and stencils, and providing chalk in a bucket for passers by to fill in the blanks..which they did! "It was an interesting social experiment"says Charlotte, an architect and co-concept-creator. The women received an 'Awesome foundation"award for their effort.

The Sharehood loves to share! We are always keen to have a cup of tea and chat with people about the good word of strengthening neighbourhoods through sharing. Recently we held stalls at the Melbourne BioRegional Permaculture conference at the South Melbourne Commons and for Mental Health Week at Meadows Primary School in Broadmeadows.

Last Friday, several citizens commandeered a parking space on Little Lonsdale Street. The idlers topped up the meter all day, but used the asphalt for nothing more than lounging around, writing letters, hula-hooping and lively conversation. Waterwise Garden – Grey Water Installation!

On a sunny Saturday in March some friends and neighbours came around and helped install a simple grey-water recycling system to use water wisely. Now the water runs from the house to our garden with its four thirsty vegetable patches, two raised beds and more than ten fruit trees.
